Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She competes currently with the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC friend of hers is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sport career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina received a gold medal in 2007, a silver medal in 2008, a silver in 2007 and she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and a medal with gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia began her professional career in 2003 and won her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko set her professional MMA records in 2002 when she took on Anara Bazanova at KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the fight with a TKO after round 2. Her subsequent 2 matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was a dedicated kickboxer after which she took a lengthy absence from MMA. She returned to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa with a unanimous verdict and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina used her superior strike abilities in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her debut fight. Antonina recovered from this loss, defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko won her first three fights before losing her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently knocked out by KO in the second round, losing to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
